Composition - 1 ml:
Microsporum canis inact. - at least 1 million of vegetative forms
formaldehyde max. 0.05 %, buffered saline solution
Effect method:
The immunity is developed in immunized animals within one month since the re-vaccination and lasts for at least one year.
Animals shall be vaccinated twice at the interval of 10 - 21 days between the first and the second vaccination. The third vaccination dose can be applied, if necessary for therapeutic purposes, 10 - 21 days after the re-vaccination.
The vaccine does not infect environment with the virulent spores of Microsporum canis and therefore it is suitable for elimination of the invader from the population of sensitive animals and environment.
Indication:
For both the prevention and therapy of dermal mycosis in cats (from 2 months of age) induced by the dermatophyte Microsporum canis.
Interaction:
The vaccine shall be applied always separately (never use it as a dilutor for the lyophilised vaccines and never mix it with the liquid vaccines. Any of the vaccines intended for cats and manufactured by the company Bioveta, a.s. can be simultaneously applied with the vaccine (preferably at the opposite side of a body).
Contraindication:
Total febrile disease. Pregnant cats should not be vaccinated. Other immunoprophylactic interventions shall not be performed in the period of one week before the first vaccination and 14 days after the second (or the third) vaccination (except of the application of the vaccines intended for cats and manufactured by the company Bioveta, a.s.).
Method of administration:
Subcutaneous in a region behind a blade-bone or deep intramuscular into a musculature of pelvis extremity. The vaccination and re-vaccination should be performed into the left and right part of a body, respectively.
Dosage:
1 ml irrespectively of the individual's age, weight and breed.
Adverse reaction:
Adequate local reaction (obviously of a pea in size) that will disappear within 3 weeks can be observed at the application spot. Hypersensitivity can occur only rarely.
Warning:
Only clinically healthy, well nourished individuals can be vaccinated. Possible anti-parasitic treatment should be performed not earlier than 10 days before the planned vaccination. The vaccinated animals should not be trained or exercised for one week after the vaccination.
Storage:
Store in a dark and dry place at the temperature between 2 °C - 8 °C. The vaccine shall not be allowed to freeze.
Protection period:
The vaccine is not intended for food animals.
