Live attenuated vaccine against Classical Swine Fever (CSF).

Pharmaceutical form

Dry injection - lyophilizate

Injection solution intended for parenteral use prepared by dissolution of the lyophilizate with the relevant diluent.

Composition

Live attenuated swine pest virus, C strain (China) min. 100 TCID50 - max. 10000 TCID50

Indication

The vaccine is intended for both the preventive and emergency vaccination of pigs against the classical swine fewer.

Immunity of both the cellular and humoral type is formed in the immunized animals. Its onset is apparent between the 5th and 7th day after the application.

Immunity lasts for at least 2 years.

Dosage, application and vaccination scheme

Dosage – 2 ml, intramuscularly applied.

The first immunization:

- Piglets coming from the unvaccinated sows are vaccinated at the age of 7 – 14 days;

- Piglets coming from the vaccinated sows are vaccinated at the age of 7 – 8 weeks; the animals aged 4 weeks and above can be vaccinated in breeding affected immediately with swine fewer.

The second immunization:

- Weaners intended for fattening are revaccinated 2 months later; gilts are revaccinated 1 month before mating or insemination.

In order to ensure the permanent immunity, the breeding pigs should be revaccinated (booster effect) every other year or yearly according to the decision of the Veterinary Service of the relevant country.

Storage

Store in a dark and dry place at the temperature between 2 - 8 ºC.

Withdrawal period

No withdrawal period.

Shelf life

24 months.

The reconstituted vaccine shall be consumed within 2 hours.

Package

a) 1 vial (7.5 ml) of the lyophilized vaccine and 1 vial (20 ml) of the Diluent E are packed in a box made of the coated cardboard. After the vaccine is dissolved in Diluent E, 20 ml of the vaccine, i.e. 10 vaccination doses are available.

b) 5 vials (7.5 ml) of the lyophilized vaccine and 5 vials (20 ml) of the Diluent E are packed in a box made of the coated cardboard. After the vaccine is dissolved in Diluent E, 20 ml of the vaccine, i.e. 10 vaccination doses are available.

c) 1 vial (7.5 ml) of the lyophilized vaccine and 1 vial (50 ml) of the Diluent E are packed in a box made of the coated cardboard. After the vaccine is dissolved in Diluent E, 50 ml of the vaccine, i.e. 25 vaccination doses are available.

d) 1 vial (7.5 ml) of the lyophilized vaccine and 1 vial (100 ml) of the Diluent E are packed in a box made of the coated cardboard. After the vaccine is dissolved in Diluent E, 100 ml of the vaccine, i.e. 50 vaccination doses are available.
