*RP = Relative efficacy (RP) in comparison with the reference serum obtained from animals vaccinated with a batch that had passed the challenge test on the target animal species.

Indication

For active and passive immunization of piglets to prevent infection with erysipelas, reduce infection with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Haemophilus parasuis (Glässer’s disease) and to reduce clinical symptoms caused by these pathogens.

Onset of active immunity: 21 days after revaccination.

Duration of active immunity: 20 weeks after revaccination.

Duration of passive immunity: for the suckling period (i.e. 3 weeks).

 

For active immunization of gilts and sows to prevent infection with erysipelas.

Onset of immunity: 21 days after revaccination.

Duration of immunity: 6 months after booster revaccination.

Dosage, application and vaccination scheme

Method of administration: Intramuscularly, preferably into the paraauricular region.

Vaccination of piglets: piglets are vaccinated with a dose of 1 ml IM.

Primary vaccination from 6 weeks of age, second dose after 3 weeks.

Immunization of gilts and sows: sows are vaccinated with a dose of 2 ml IM.

Primary vaccination 6-5 weeks before farrowing, second dose after 2-3 weeks, but not later than 2 weeks before farrowing.

Booster revaccination: regularly 3-2 weeks before each subsequent farrowing. 

In the event that the period between two deliveries exceeds 6 months, it is necessary to perform again the primovaccination.

Storage

Store in a refrigerator (2°C-8°C).

Do not freeze.

Zero days.

Shelf-life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 2 years.

Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 10 hours.
