Composition
Inactivated PRRS virus
PRRS/EU strain min. 105.1 TCID50, RP ≥ 1
PRRS/US strain min. 105.1 TCID50; RP ≥ 1
TCID50 = 50 % infectious dose for tissue culture, the virus titre determined within in-process control before inactivation
RP = Relative potency (ELISA test) is expressed by comparing the level of antibodies in the serum of calves with the level of antibodies in the reference serum obtained after vaccination with a vaccine batch that passed the challenge test in the target animals.
Indication
Active immunization of gilts and sows to reduce reproductive disorders and viremia caused by Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus (European and American type).
The onset of immunity was demonstrated by challenge 3 weeks after the primary vaccination (i.e. after the administration of three doses).
The duration of immunity demonstrated by challenge was 6 months.
Dosage, application and vaccination scheme
Intramuscularly, preferably in the paraauricular region, in a dose of 2 ml, before mating from 6 months of age of gilts and sows.
Basic vaccination:
Gilts - primary vaccination 2 x 1 dose at an interval of 2 - 3 weeks, before mating, the third dose on Day 60 - 70 of gestation following the primary vaccination.
Sows - primary vaccination 2 x 1 dose at an interval of 2 - 3 weeks, before mating, blanket vaccination of sows in the herd in the shortest possible time interval is recommended, the third dose on Day 60 - 70 of gestation following the primary vaccination.
Revaccination: application of 1 dose (2 ml) on Day 60 - 70 in each pregnancy following the basic vaccination.
The extent of immunization is at the consider of the veterinarian and is also dependent on the particular epizootic situation.
Storage
Store in a refrigerator (2°C - 8°C).

Shelf life
Shelf-life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 18 months.
Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 10 hours.
