Ingredients:

One dose (0.5 ml) contains:

Calicivirus septicemiae haemorrhagiae cuniculi inactivatum, type 1a (RHDVa),

strain Bio 89 min. 60*

Calicivirus septicemiae haemorrhagiae cuniculi inactivatum, type 2 (RHDV2),

strain Bio 88 min. 80*

* Haemagglutination inhibitory antibody titre after vaccine administration to laboratory animals (rabbit)

Target animal species:

Rabbits.

Indications for use:

For active immunisation of rabbits from 6 weeks of age to prevent mortality caused by rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus type RHDV/RHDVa and type RHDV2.

Onset of immunity: 7 days after vaccination.

Duration of immunity: 12 months.

Contraindications:

None.

Special warnings:

Special warnings:

Vaccinate only healthy animals.

Special precautions for safe use in target species:

Safety tests have not been performed in dwarf rabbits.

Special precautions for the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:

In the event of accidental self-injury by injected product, seek medical attention immediately and show the package leaflet or label to the practitioner.

Special precautions for environmental protection:

Not applicable.

Pregnancy:

May be used during pregnancy.

Not recommended for use in rabbits in the last week of pregnancy due to the possibility of abortion by unsparing fixation.

Lactation:

The safety of the veterinary medicinal product during lactation has not been established.

Interactions with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction:

Available safety and efficacy data demonstrate that this vaccine can be mixed and administered with Bioveta's vaccine containing live myxomatosis virus in the Member States where this vaccine is authorised.

For mixed use, an onset of immunity of 7 days and a duration of immunity of 6 months have been demonstrated for the RHDVa components

and RHDV2 in rabbits from 8 weeks of age. When the two vaccines were administered simultaneously at different sites, onset of immunity after 7 days for RHDVa and RHDV2 components was demonstrated in rabbits from 8 weeks of age, but duration of immunity was not demonstrated.

Dosage for each species, route and method of administration:

Vaccination dose - one dose (0.5 ml) injected subcutaneously.

Animals can be vaccinated from 6 weeks of age.

Annual revaccinations should be carried out no later than 12 months after the last vaccination.

If this vaccine is used to dilute Bioveta's live myxomatosis virus vaccine, only the same number of doses of the vaccine can be combined and one dose is also 0,5 ml (i.e. for example: 10 doses of Bioveta's live myxomatosis virus vaccine can be diluted with 10 doses of this vaccine). It is administered subcutaneously.

Withdrawal period:

No withdrawal periods.

Special storage precautions:

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Store and transport refrigerated (2 °C - 8 °C).

Protect from freezing.

Protect from light.

Shelf life after first opening of the inner packaging: 10 hours.

Shelf life after mixing BioRabbit RHDV1, 2 with Bioveta's live myxomatosis virus vaccine: use immediately.
