Composition - 1 ml:
Lyophilizate:
Parvovirus enteritidis canis min. 105.0 TCID50 or 512 HAU
Diluent - 1 ml:
Natrii chloridum, Kali chloridum, Natrii hydrogenphosphas, Dodecahydricus, Kali dihydrogenophosphas, Aqua pro injectione
Indication:
For the active immunization against parvovirosis in dogs aged 6 weeks and above.
Contraindication:
Total pyrexial disease.
Method of administration:
Subcutaneous or intramuscular. If the preparation is diluted with the liquid vaccine Biocan it shall be applied subcutaneously only.
Dosage:
1 ml irrespective of animal's age, weight and breed.
Vaccination schedule:
The vaccination scheme should be specified by the veterinarian in dependence on the infection situation and the level of the passive immunity obtained due to the colostric antibodies present in the organism of the vaccinated individuals. Animals that were vaccinated for the first time at the age under 12 weeks should be re-vaccinated at the interval of 14 - 21 days while the last revaccination should be carried out at the age of 13 weeks and above. The revaccination should be repeated every year in order to keep permanent immunity of the vaccinated animals.
The vaccine Biocan P can be used separately, simultaneously or grouped with other Biocan series vaccines:
- A) The vaccine Biocan P can be applied grouped with other liquid Biocan series vaccines (LR, C, L). The vaccination dose is 1 ml in this case.
- B) If the vaccines Biocan C + LR or C + L are applied simultaneously, such grouped liquid vaccine (2 ml) can be used as a diluent for the vaccine Biocan P. The vaccination dose is 2 ml in this case.
Other possible vaccinations:
Biocan M Plus:
- Microsporum canis vaccine inactivated can be used at the age of 8 weeks and above.
Adverse reaction:
If the vaccine is diluted with the liquid vaccine Biocan (LR, C, L) local reaction (like a pea in size) can be formed in the vaccine application spot that will disappear on its own accord within 3 weeks.
Warning:
Only clinically healthy, properly nourished animals should be vaccinated. Possible anti-parasitic treatment should be carried out at least 10 days before the vaccination. The vaccinated animals should not be trained or exercised for one week after the vaccination.
Sub-febrile increase of the temperature and temporary disorexia can be rarely observed after application of the vaccine. Hypersensitivity can occur only rarely.
When diluted, the vaccine shall be used within 1 hour.
Storage:
Store in a dry and dark place at the temperature of 2 - 8 °C.
Protection period:
Not intended for food animals.
Shelf life:
24 months. When diluted, the vaccine shall be used immediately.
