Glucosamine sulfate - NOURISHES
Glucosamine plays an important role in cartilage metabolism. It stimulates cartilage cells (chondrocytes) to synthesize proteoglycans (basic cartilage building blocks) and is the main substrate for their formation. Glucosamine is actively taken up by the cartilage. The administration of glucosamine slows down the development of already started degenerative cartilage alterations.

Chondroitin sulfate - NOURISHES
Chondroitin sulfate is an important component of joint cartilage. It binds a large amount of water, thus hydrating the cartilage, supports the formation of proteoglycans and reduces collagenolytic activity. The administration of chondroitin results in slowed down destructive cartilage alterations, alleviated joint pain, improved movement and milder joint inflammation.

Hyaluronic acid - RESTORES
Hyaluronic acid is found in all connective tissues including joints, where it constitutes a major part of synovial fluid. The administration normalizes joint synovial fluid qualities, prevents cartilage degeneration and restores its original qualities.

Boswellia serrata - ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECT
Natural extract of Boswellia serrata has an effect similar to synthetic antirheumatic drugs – alleviates inflammation and pain. This natural extract does not have any adverse effects on the digestive system. Regular use helps prevent joint cartilage destruction.

Hydrolyzed collagen - RESTORES
Collagen is the main protein of elastic articular cartilage, and ensures its strength, flexibility and resistance. A lack of collagen causes movement disorders and gradual degenerative alterations.

Method of use:

Administer the powder with a piece of food, mixed in grain or molasses, or give right into the mouth. Animals usually accept the product without problems.

Duration of use:

Administer the product ideally for three months, then discontinue for 1-3 months and then start administering again.

Caution:

ATLET BS oral powder is mixed with natural apple pectin, whose colour varies from white to light brown. The powder colour in this product may therefore vary as well. Different colour does not affect the quality or quantity of active substances: glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, collagen, sodium hyaluronate and dry extract of Boswellia serrata.
