On Friday, 21 March 2025, a traditional pig slaughtering took place at the Bukovanský mlýn near Kyjov, which was attended by approximately 40 clients from the Banka Bioveta loyalty programme.
The programme started with a tasting of genuine Moravian slivovitz, but the main attraction was a 230 kg pig, from which experienced butchers were preparing slaughter specialities all day. Everyone looked forward to cooked pig's head with grated apple and horseradish and other specialities such as liver sausages, blood sausages, head cheese and greaves. There was also blood soup and tasting directly from the cauldron. A local accordionist played throughout the day to make the relaxed atmosphere even better and the sommelier, whose selection pleased the most demanding guests, took care of filling our guests' glasses. Guests could then take part in a guided tour of the Bukovanský mlýn area and visit the mill, which also serves as a lookout tower. Thanks to the sunny weather, there were wonderful panoramic views of the region, which were worth it.
The evening part of the event began with a presentation of new products in the Bioveta portfolio and information about the research and development of other products. After a dinner full of butcher’s delicacies, the varied program was rounded off by dulcimer music, which got everyone singing and dancing.
This successful event was a pleasant combination of gastronomy, traditions, and folklore in the beautiful surroundings of the Bukovanský mlýn.
We thank everyone for their interest and positive feedback on the events organized by Bioveta and look forward to meeting again at one of the next events.
