PARTNERSHIP IN PRACTICE: LEARNING FROM THE BEST Members of the Bioveta team visit company’s business partner in the Netherlands and Belgium.

In preparation for the BIOSUIS Entero vaccine launch across international markets, Bioveta Product Manager, Ronen Hoikhman, DVM and Marketing Manager Tomas Rosival, DVM visited Bioveta’s long term business partner, the Netherlands based distribution company “Kernfarm”. The visit took place at the very end of July.

Kernfarm HQ situated just outside of Amsterdam, consists of a dedicated team of 30 employees. These service their home market, Belgium and other 20 countries in Europe, Asia and the USA. In the course of the last ten years, Kernfarm expanded their portfolio to as much as 150 products and currently supplies more than 250 customers of different specialization and footprint.

The company’s management represented at the meeting by Mr. Diederik Scheepstra and the Technical Manager of the Swine segment, Mr. Andre Dereu, DVM see cooperation with Bioveta as critical for Kernfarm’s future expansion. From this perspective, BIOSUIS Entero is seen by all involved as not only a great fit to the existing product portfolio and overall reinforcement of the strategic direction of the company, but also as a genuine growth accelerator.

Leaving office space behind, Ronen and Tomas welcomed an opportunity to meet a sample of Kernfarm’s customers. First stop was at one of the multi-vet practices in Tilburg area, managing around 50% of pigs in the Netherlands. The second visit was in Western Flanders. Another multi-vet practice with rather large footprint covering entire Belgium as well as parts of France.

In the area of Kortrijk Bioveta team also visited a recently renovated 350 sow farm. It was interesting to learn that this facility, which fully complies with the latest eco and animal welfare legislation is operated by single farm manager, employee of a feed company. Positive about the future, he proudly shared his outstanding production results.

Accompanied by Kernfarm’s Sales Representatives and Technical Manager, the visits provided a great insight in the difference between these two markets and a good feel regarding what to expect in other swine producing markets across Europe. We have received a lot of genuine encouragement, as the new vaccine seems to be addressing multiple key issues of swine practitioners and the producers.

We returned back from this trip with the heads full of ideas and positive outlook when it comes to the launch of our latest addition to the already robust product portfolio, further cooperation with our business partner and the swine industry in the Netherlands and Belgium in general.
