On May 21st, 2023, a workshop on "Hog cholera - genotype, polymorphisms, and problems in disease control on the farm" took place in Hanoi, Vietnam, thanks to the joint coordination of the Czech Bioveta, the local company Greenvet and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.

Two hundred representatives of local pig breeders had the opportunity to attend the seminar together with Vu Van Dien, Deputy General Director of Greenvet, Nikola Sichlerová, Deputy Secretariat of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi, Luboš Marek, Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic in Vietnam and our Regional Director for East and Southeast Asia Robert Kuhn to introduce important information about African swine fever (ASF) and classical swine fever (CSF). Information about the new generation of vaccines introduced by Bioveta, which brings many advantages, was also valuable for local breeders.

We believe that the meeting contributed positively to the awareness of local breeders and will benefit them in the fight against diseases causing significant economic losses in the pig industry in Vietnam.
