Bioveta was present at the 27th International Conference of Sheep and Goat Breeders, which took place on 1–2 November 2024 at the Luna Congress Hotel in Kouty near Ledeč nad Sázavou.

The two-day conference offered a varied program, including presentations by the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic. The event attracted a number of experts and breeders who discussed current challenges and trends in sheep and goat breeding. Bluetongue is undoubtedly the most topical challenge of the recent months. DVM. Zbyněk Semerád, Director of the State Veterinary Administration, at first spoke on the topic, where he evaluated the current health situation in the Czech Republic and, in connection with animal imports, even the issue in Europe. On behalf of Bioveta, DVM. Martin Vodinský then gave a lecture on the topic "Bluetongue in sheep – to vaccinate or not to vaccinate?" In his presentation, Mr. Vodinský provided a detailed information not only about this infectious disease, but especially about the new BioBos BTV 3 vaccine, which Bioveta offers to sheep and cattle breeders as the effective solution against the currently expanding BTV 3 BT serotype. He also highlighted benefits of the vaccine and emphasized that Bioveta is currently the only producer of the vaccine intended for sheep and cattle that has already been registered in the Czech Republic.
